Meru Betiri National Park, this is a National Park in the East Java, Indonesia. The National Park lies on the 580 km2 area with the small marine area. But although it has the beautiful views, it also known as the nesting grounds of the several turtle species such as olive ridley turtles, leatherback turtles and hawksbill turtles.

This park is a home for about 29 species of mammals and 180 species of bird with more than 300 species of flora. Although this is identical as a home of the various turtle species, it is also a home for black panthers and leopards. The other mammals that live in this National Park are Banteng, wild boar, barking deer, dhole and flying squirrel.Even it is also the habitat for Javan Tiger. A tiger species that is really close to extinction. The other attraction of this National Park is the giant Rafflesia.

Meru Betiri National Park also has several interesting places. The most of them are beaches. But if you decide to visit this National Park, you will be interested to these places as well.

Natural and still untouched, this is the short description of this beach. It surrounded by forest that makes the beach looks so beautiful.And with the green view surround it, it looks like a green emerald. The beach is so clean andthere is no crowd or waste around here. All you can see is truly the nature in its natural condition. It is clean without the touch of human. But it does not mean there is no facility at all. As a tourism spot, it has enough facility.

The attraction of this beach is not just about the view of the beach itself. It also has the other interesting spots such as Timor Deer breeding. Beside it, there is green house too. You can see the various species of orchid here.

2. Rajegwesi Beach

Rajegwesi Beach, this is a beach at Banyuwangi as well as a part of Meru Betiri National Park. It also known as the port of the local fishermen and a fish auction. It means, there will be more than just a beach view here. You can also get any fish with the nice price.
How about the beach itself? There are 2 words to describe the beach, clean and beautiful. It surrounded by forest and the wave is calm. It is safe to swim or just playing water. Walk around or just enjoying the view can be as exciting as the other water activities.
Facility is not something to worry. In fact, this beach has enough facility for the visitors. If you expect to stay for a few days, there is homestay with the affordable price.

3. Sukamade Beach

This is the core and the main attraction of Meru Betiri National Park. This is the habitat of the various turtles and the nesting ground of the several turtle species. If you are lucky enough, you can see turtles laying eggs or the small turtles walk on the beach, looking for the sea. But if you want to see turtle nesting, make sure to visit this beach in the night. This is the best time to catch this moment.

Turtle tour is the best thing about this beach and that is true. But this is not the only attraction here. The beach itself is also beautiful. It also fully with facilities such as camping ground, cottage, road tourist trail and information center. Even there is a laboratory as well.

4. Teluk Hijau Beach

Maybe this is the most beautiful beach in Meru Betiri National Park. The white sand and the clear blue sea just like a perfect composition. Overall, the beach looks so clean, even the sea. In your first visit, you may wonder about one thing. Is it East Java beach? When you take a look to the beach, it may remind you to the Lombok’ beaches.
The beauty of the beach is no doubt and the forest around the beach is just completing the view for sure. It just like a hidden paradise in the East Java. The beach is so quiet.
